A short scale guitar this good doesn’t come around too often. The DSME is equally suitable whether you’re at the start of your guitar journey, or a regular on the gigging circuit. For beginners especially, the shallower depth and reduced scale length ensures a comfortable and easily accessible playing experience which won’t alienate you from learning.

Construction Care

A large body has been crafted out of a mahogany back and sides and a sitka spruce top. These woods help to project a booming sound with excellent presence. Extra nuance and clarity are also available in buckets, characteristics that are closely linked to the use of spruce. No wonder its one of the most popular tonewoods used in the construction of current day acoustics!

Electronics Excellence

The Sigma pickup included here helps to truly capture the voice and nuance of the instrument when amplified. Additional tonal controls – including treble, middle, and bass – then give you the option of tweaking your sound on-the-fly. There’s even an onboard tuner, so there’s absolutely no excuses for when you leave your tuner at home!

Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Stuff About Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Electro-acoustic guitars combine the natural sound and feel of an acoustic guitar with built-in electronics for amplification. Fitted with pickups and preamp controls, they allow you to plug directly into an amp, PA system, or recording setup while retaining an acoustic character. They’re ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and home recording, offering volume control and tonal adjustment without relying solely on microphones. Electro-acoustic guitars suit players who want the warmth and responsiveness of an acoustic instrument with the flexibility to play amplified when needed.
