The Sire Marcus Miller P7 is the ultimate versatile, vintage-style bass and this Version 2 model improves on that winning formula. The P7 is essentially a P-bass with an added Jazz bridge pickup giving you the best of both worlds in one instrument.

Two new V2 Updated additions

The P7 Updated model features two major upgrades: sleek aluminium dials replace the previous model’s plastic knobs, and square block saddles have been upgraded to more comfortable round block saddles.

New features

The focus of the upgrade has been to improve the overall sound quality and playing comfort of the P7. Marcus Miller worked alongside Sire to redesign the pickups with stronger magnets and coils to deliver a cleaner, deeper tonal palette.

Sire have also overhauled the neck design. The P7 now features an extremely comfortable rolled edge fretboard, which you’d usually only find on high-end basses. The neck radius has been extended to 9.5-inches and fretted models are adorned with new medium frets, making for a quicker and more accurate playing experience. The gloss neck coating has been replaced with a much classier satin finish.

Construction

Sire like to mix and match woods. The P7 is made of either a well-balanced alder or a slightly brighter swamp ash body. A hard maple neck offers excellent stability and is topped by either a maple or ebony fingerboard.

Electronic Blend

The Marcus Miller Super-PJ Revolution set of pickups offer further sonic intrigue. The upgraded jazz bass pickups allow for a blend of vintage jazz bass sound and the unique precision bass tone. This sound is then improved via the Marcus Miller Heritage-3 preamp, leading to great versatility and a full, clear overall tone.

Stuff About Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.

Stuff About Electric Bass Guitars

Electric bass guitars provide the low-end foundation that supports rhythm, harmony, and groove within a band. Designed for clarity, punch, and control, they translate string vibration into a focused, amplified signal that locks in with drums and drives the music forward. Different scale lengths, pickup configurations, and electronics influence feel and tone, from deep, rounded lows to tight, articulate attack. Whether used for simple supportive lines or more expressive playing, electric bass guitars are essential for shaping the feel and energy of a track.

The Important stuff

Left-Handed Guitar — Left-handed guitars are built specifically for left-handed players, with the body shape, controls, and string orientation reversed to provide a natural and comfortable playing experience. Available across electric, acoustic, classical, and bass styles, they offer the same variety of tones, features, and build quality as right-handed models. Using a properly designed left-handed guitar helps with balance, technique, and confidence, allowing players to focus on developing their sound without having to adapt to an instrument that doesn’t suit the way they play..
