Key Features

  • Expression System 2 Electronics – The preamp is simple but effective with just volume, treble and bass controls for shaping your sound.
  • Venetian Cutaway – The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the body. This makes the guitar extremely comfortable to play on the higher frets.
  • Slim Neck – This makes chord changes easier with the ergonomic slim neck.
  • Included Gigbag – The Taylor 214ce comes with a Structured Gigbag Case to protect your guitar in style.

200 Series

Taylor’s 200 series guitars are designed for the working musician. Those who need a guitar that can keep up with physical and tonal demands of recording, live performance, and more, without breaking their bank account will find what they need here. 200 series guitars all feature solid wood tops, laminate back and sides, and Taylor’s premier ES2 electronics. Affordable Taylors offer more than just the bare essentials and will handle whatever you throw at them.

Expression System 2 Electronics

The 214ce Plus features Taylor’s Expression System 2 (ES2) pickup system. Unlike a traditional undersaddle piezo pickup, the ES2 is located behind the bridge with three individually calibrated pickup sensors. The result is a greater dynamic range and less “squashed” sound from your pickup tone. The preamp is simple but effective with just volume, treble and bass controls for shaping your sound. There’s also an interior phase switch to help reduce low-frequency feedback. Whether you’re performing live into an amp or PA or you’re recording into an audio interface the 214ce Plus is ready to plug-in-and-play right out of the box!

Stuff About Acoustic Guitars

Acoustic guitars produce their sound naturally through the vibration of the strings and body, offering a direct and expressive playing experience. They come in a wide range of styles, including steel string and classical designs, each with its own feel and tonal character. Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Stuff About Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Electro-acoustic guitars combine the natural sound and feel of an acoustic guitar with built-in electronics for amplification. Fitted with pickups and preamp controls, they allow you to plug directly into an amp, PA system, or recording setup while retaining an acoustic character. They’re ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and home recording, offering volume control and tonal adjustment without relying solely on microphones. Electro-acoustic guitars suit players who want the warmth and responsiveness of an acoustic instrument with the flexibility to play amplified when needed.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

The Important stuff

Natural — Natural guitars showcase the beauty of the wood itself, with finishes that highlight the grain, colour, and character of each piece. Favoured by players who appreciate simplicity and authenticity, natural finishes let the instrument’s craftsmanship and tonewoods speak for themselves. Whether it’s the warm glow of mahogany or the bright shimmer of maple, a natural guitar has a timeless, organic look that never goes out of style. These instruments often feel more connected to their acoustic roots, offering both visual elegance and a sense of purity that appeals to musicians across all genres..
