At a 3/4-scale, the Baby Taylor is the little Dreadnought that could. Taylor’s ultra-portable travel mate belies its size with a sweet, full voice and great tone especially in this amazing All Koa version of the guitar.

It’s remarkably versatile, you can play alternate tunings or with a capo or a slide. And it’s the perfect starter guitar for younger players. The BT1e even comes with a pickup so you can plug in and get that great Taylor tone on a live stage.

Let’s talk about Koa

Koa is a wood that can only be found in one place on Earth and that’s in Hawaii. And because this is such a rare species of wood, it can’t be cut down and the wood can only be used when the trees fall down. This makes Koa guitars quite rare and they’re highly sought after for the warm, full sound that you get from Koa.

Not to mention, Koa wood grain looks amazing, particularly on acoustic guitars where you’re sure to find unique character on each instrument.

Pickup System

This Baby Taylor has also got the Taylor Expression System Baby which has elements of the piezo design from Taylors highly-regarded Expression System 2. It has an on-board preamp for a strong signal to the mixing desk and a handy built-in tuner. The tone and volume controls allow you to mould the sound for any speaker system and the gigbag will allow you to travel wherever you want with ease.

Heres what Taylor say about the Baby Acoustic

The ¾-size Baby Taylor firmly established the travel guitar category years ago and today is more popular than ever. At the heart of it all is an authentic guitar sound and inviting playing experience. Featuring a layered sapele back and sides and solid top of either spruce or mahogany, you can add a capo, high-string it, tune it down, play it around the campfire, help your kids form their first guitar chords — however you use it, it’s always fun to have one within reach. The mahogany-top version will yield a slightly darker, earthier tone than the spruce top.
