A wonder of scaled-down design, the GS Mini is a fun little acoustic cannon that has taken the world by storm since its debut in 2010. Bob Taylor and his development team took everything they learned when they designed the bold-voiced GS body shape and worked it into a compact form that sounds like a full-size guitar. It’s ultra-portable, yet just as comfortable to cradle in the comfort of your home, making it the ultimate modern-day parlor guitar. This year we’re excited to introduce a new tonal flavor with a mahogany-top model for an extra punchy, rootsy sound. We can’t wait to hear what kind of music people create with this mini-marvel.

Key Features

  • GS Mini – A scaled-down GS that’s anything but small.
  • Layered Sapele – Layered wood construction is used to offer attractive, durable and affordable models.
  • The Taylor Neck – Introduced in 1999, the patented Taylor Neck offers legendary playing comfort, exceptional intonation and easy adjustability.
  • Neo-Tropical Mahogany – The hardwood top produces strong fundamentals with clarity and focus.
  • No Electronics – Whether you’re an acoustic purist or simply don’t need a pickup, we’ve got you covered.

GS Mini

The Taylor GS Mini is a shrunk down version of the incredible Grand Symphony body shape that quickly became a favorite of artists all around the world. From strummers to finger pickers the Grand Symphony was one of the guitars to have thanks to its versatile tonal range, stunning dynamic definition and strong projection that means you will always be head. This shrunk down version looks to keep all of these traits but at a much smaller size meaning you will never have to go anywhere without your precious acoustic again. Due to the body being a lot smaller that the normal Grand Symphony it may not have the punch or the power but it still has the same incredible versatile tone.

All Sapele Body

Acoustic guitars have a few traditional woods that you will see across pretty much any brand. This one is a little bit different has while it does have the Mahogany/Sapele back and sides instead of going for a Sitka Spruce top like normal they have instead finished it with more Mahogany. This extra layer of mahogany really gives this guitar a bit of extra flavour with a really warm midrange that lets you sit within a mix nice and easily. Perfect for more delicate styles in a larger band this acoustic works incredibly as part of a larger mix.

Taylor Quality

If you have ever played a Taylor guitar you will immediately know what we mean when we talk about the quality of the guitar. Every part of this guitar has been perfectly designed so that you get the best guitar for the cost possible. Stuff About Acoustic Guitars

Acoustic guitars produce their sound naturally through the vibration of the strings and body, offering a direct and expressive playing experience. They come in a wide range of styles, including steel string and classical designs, each with its own feel and tonal character. Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Steel String Acoustic Guitars

Steel string acoustic guitars are known for their bright, clear tone and strong projection, making them a popular choice for strumming, fingerpicking, and songwriting. Using steel strings gives them more tension and volume than classical guitars, resulting in a sound that cuts through well whether played solo or alongside other instruments. They come in a range of body shapes and sizes, each influencing balance, resonance, and comfort. From delicate fingerstyle passages to powerful rhythm playing, steel string acoustics are versatile instruments that respond well to dynamics and playing style, both at home and on stage.

The Important stuff

Left-Handed Guitar — Left-handed guitars are built specifically for left-handed players, with the body shape, controls, and string orientation reversed to provide a natural and comfortable playing experience. Available across electric, acoustic, classical, and bass styles, they offer the same variety of tones, features, and build quality as right-handed models. Using a properly designed left-handed guitar helps with balance, technique, and confidence, allowing players to focus on developing their sound without having to adapt to an instrument that doesn’t suit the way they play..
