The Alvarez Artist AG60-8CESHB is an 8-string Grand Auditorium acoustic with a distinct resonant voicing and instant response. By doubling up on the G (3rd) and D (4th) strings an octave higher, the AG60-8CESHB has a unmistakable shimmer, similar to that of a 12-string. However, unlike 12-string guitars, the AG60-8CESHB has a standard neck and nut width and lower string tension, offering improved playability.

The AG60-8CESHB features a solid A+ grade Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides for a classic, bold sound that is ideal for both strummers and fingerpickers. The satin finish Mahogany neck is super smooth and allows your hand to move freely up and down and is topped with a sleek Indian Laurel fingerboard. The AG60-8CESHB is equipped with a market-leading LR Baggs StagePro EQ and Element pick up for convenient amplification and recording. The StagePro’s transparent sound will not colour your tone, allowing the guitar’s natural characteristics to shine through.

  • Grand Auditorium Body – This comfortable, modern body shape is slightly smaller than a dreadnought without sacrficing any tone or volume. The cutaway gives you excellent access to the upper frets, should you decide to venture that high!
  • LR Baggs StagePro EQ and Element Pickup – LR Baggs are regarded by many as THE industry standard for acoustic pickups for their natural sound and incredible ease of use.
  • FS6 Bracing System – This forward shifted X bracing system creates a larger soundboard area allowing for more energy and vibration to be harnessed.
  • 8 Strings – The added shimmer of a 12-string guitar but with a standard neck and nut width and lower string tension so it’s easier to play!
