Sire's Marcus Miller V7 basses sound better and play smoother than ever before with the 2nd Generation range! This 'Vintage' version has a traditional F-style bridge with saddles that can be individually adjusted for the best intonation.

The V7 is the flagship bass model for Sire. This classic J-style bass features two advanced single-coil pickups with sophisticated EQ controls, allowing you to mould your perfect sound. It's also extremely easy to pick up and play thanks to the comfortable neck shape.

New Features

The focus of the upgrade has been to improve the sound of the Vintage model. Marcus Miller worked alongside Sire to redesign the pickups with stronger magnets and coils to deliver a cleaner and deeper tone. You'll hear a big difference in balance when comparing this version to the original. The pickups also feature a printed logo for a more high-end aesthetic.

Version 2 Updated

This 'Version 2 Updated' model gets yet another needed redesign; the saddles have been switched out for rounded block saddles. This means enhanced playing comfort, especially when muting or using a pick!

Body & Neck

The V7 Vintage has either an Alder body that adds darker tones and warmth, or a Swamp Ash body which is known for its brightness. A Hard Maple neck offers excellent stability and is topped by a Maple fingerboard for added crispness.

Sire Marcus Miller Basses

Marcus Miller is a world-renowned jazz and funk bassist with some of the best chops on the planet. He's worked with Sire to make affordable basses that far exceed their price-point in terms of feel, style and above all, sound.

How do they do this? Unlike a lot of other guitar companies that outsource their work, Sire own the factory where their basses are built. This means more efficient production and full control over the quality of their instruments from start to finish.

Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.
