The EarthQuaker Devices Hummingbird V4 Repeated Percussions Tremolo is a sharp choppy tremolo pedal inspired by the classic “repeat percussion” circuits found in old-school Valco and Vox amps. From warm 50s shimmer to stuttering synth-like pulses and borderline ring mod tones its all packed into one stompbox. Three switchable speed modes and an intuitive control layout make it easy to shape rhythmic textures that cut right through the mix. Its more than just trem—theres heaps of clean gain on tap too so you can boost or tame your signal as needed. Turn the depth down and it transforms into a crystal-clear JFET boost. Want even more control? Plug in an expression pedal to sweep the rate in real time and dial in some seriously wild modulations on the fly.
