Made in partnership with percussive acoustic guitarist extraordinaire Marcin Patrzalek, the Ibanez MRC10 takes his beloved AE series Ibanez acoustic and redesigns it from the ground up, especially for his unique playing style and tone requirements. Featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top in partnership with Pau Ferro back and sides, this contemporary acoustic is built to project with a balanced and focused tone. Its Ebony fingerboard and bridge add a touch of class as well as a silky smooth feel under the fingers, which is perfectly complemented by a comfort grip Nyatoh neck and rounded fingerboard edges. On stage, the MCR10 excels thanks to its Fishman Rare Earth sound hole pickup with added mic blend. For an even more unique sound, the MRC10 comes equipped with a Sitka Spruce ‘scratch pad’ enabling you to really experiment with tapping and scratching rhythmic sound effects.

Marcin Patrzalek

Marcin Patrzalek, known simply as Marcin, is a Polish acoustic guitarist, composer, and producer who started playing classical guitar aged 10. He then went on to practice flamenco under the eye of spanish virtuoso Carlos Piñana, and eventually developed an outstandingly energetic approach to percussive acoustic guitar. He is the winner of two major talent shows in Europe, as well as semifinalist of America’s Got Talent. His music videos and performances amassed significantly over 150 million views online, and were discussed by notable publishers such as Rolling Stone, Metal Hammer, Classic FM, Guitar World, Billboard etc. He has toured multiple continents and gathered a massive following throughout online platforms, which led him to get signed by the label Sony Music. He is known primarily for combining percussive guitar playing with modern electronic production, as well as classical and flamenco techniques. Among his most known releases are his arrangements of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata and 5th Symphony, Kashmir by Led Zeppelin, as well as original tracks such as the latin-inspired Snow Monkey. For Marcin’s innovative percussive fingerstyle he prefers Ibanez’s flagship AE900-NT from the AE-Series which allows him to combine extensive percussive elements with the standard way of playing the guitar.

Fishman® Rare Earth Mic Blend Active Soundhole pickup

It consists of a magnetic humbucking pickup and flexible cardioid microphone which offer warm, transparent sounds. It can capture both percussive and string sounds of each dynamic range, from bass to treble. Its easily accessible Mic/Pickup Blend control-wheel offers just the right blend at your fingertips. It has a bass extension/roll-off switch which controls the low frequency extension of the microphone depending on the player’s preference.

Ibanez Advantage™ bridge pins w/ Red dot

These pins really are an advantage over old-fashioned pins. Advantage™ pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage™ the pin and string stay put.
