The Bad Cat Jet Black Amp Head has been designed for guitarist who want to pack a punch with their tone. Featuring straight forward and simple controls, the Jet Black amp head provides a responsive, dynamic, and agile sonic performance, whilst producing 38 watts of power through four EL84 tubes.

Two Bold, Bright, and Loud Channels

Channel one reimages the sound of the Black Cat’s iconic tone, that has been sharpened and tuned to give you an authoritative, bold, clean sonic palette. This channel also handles gain like a champ, giving you a healthy balance without interference or muddying of your underlining sound.

The second channel provides something entirely different, new, and exciting. Encompassing all that is rock ‘n’ roll, this second channel produces decades of iconic sound for trademark tones, whilst retaining a unique sensibility. With a combination of nostalgic and contemporary rock sounds, you can experiment to you hearts content for an explosive, crunchy, and dynamic tone.

New 3 Band EQ

For that mid to high growl and bite, the newly developed 3 band EQ for the Jet Black cuts through the air without too much of harshness to maintain tonal clarity. With perfectly balanced controls, you can easily dial in you preferred and unique tone for a brighter high end to suit your cab or roll it off for an expressive and unbalanced sound.

Built-in Reverb and Tremolo Circuits

Carefully tuned built-in reverb and tremolo circuits provide an extravagant no nonsense noise, that really lets the character of the Jet Black shine. The pulsing tremolo features adjustable depth and speed, giving you even more sonic variety, proving that this is more than just an amp.

Key Features

  • Two Unique Channels – Both channels offer something quite special, giving a wide mix of clean and iconic tones, with the Jet Black twist giving you a sonic character like no other.
  • 3 Band EQ – Fully adjust and experiment with you sound, designed to be perfectly balanced, or even unbalanced, for a bright and experimental tone.
  • Builtin Reverb and Tremolo – No need for extra pedals, the built-in reverb and tremolo is the cherry on top of this amp, giving you more space and headroom in you sound.

Stuff About Amp Heads

An amp head contains the core tone and power of a guitar amplifier without the built-in speakers, allowing you to pair it with the cabinet of your choice. This setup offers greater flexibility over sound and volume, as different speaker cabinets can dramatically change the feel and character of the amp. Amp heads are available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, ranging from low-wattage studio models to high-powered touring rigs. They’re ideal for players who want a modular setup, precise control over their tone, and the ability to adapt their rig to different venues, cabinets, or recording situations.

Stuff About Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.
