Description

The iconic Gibson Les Paul Standard, a timeless classic that speaks for itself having been one the leading and most popular guitars in the music industry. The Gibson Les Paul Standard ‘50s Figured Top is a harkens back to the classic design and look that graced the stage 70 years ago. Featuring a solid Mahogany body, with AA figured Maple top in a Dirty Lemon Burst Nitrocellulose finish, and PAF-style Pickups. This Les Paul utilises all the authentic era specifications that made you fall in love with this guitar in the first place. The Mahogany “50s Style” neck has a chunkier feel, compared to the slim taper of later Les Paul designs, giving you comfortable thumb support moving around the neck.

The Burstbucker Humbuckers on the ‘50s standard have a warmer output featuring Alnico II magnets producing that classic PAF-style sound. Rich and warm in tone, these pickups give you a beefy low-end and clear mid-range, whilst being able to handle clarity in overdriven gain when turned up to the max.

  • PAF-Style Humbuckers – Projects that classic and timeless Les Paul sound with a balanced, rich mid-range and beefy low-end.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Burst

A burst finish refers to a guitar finish where the colour gradually fades from a darker outer edge to a lighter centre. This technique highlights the natural grain of the wood while giving the instrument depth and visual character, making each guitar look slightly different.

Common on both electric and acoustic guitars, burst finishes range from classic sunburst styles to modern colour variations. They are popular because they combine a traditional look with a visually striking appearance that complements the shape and craftsmanship of the guitar.

Les Paul

A Les Paul is a solid body electric guitar known for its thick, powerful tone, strong sustain, and classic single-cutaway shape. It is commonly associated with warm, rich sounds and is well suited to rock, blues, jazz, and heavier styles, thanks to its mahogany body, carved top, and typically humbucker-loaded pickups that deliver depth, punch, and smooth overdrive characteristics.
