The Jackson Pro Series KV King V is a premium instrument made purely for shredding upon, with a raft of high-spec features. Boasting a neck-through construction, compound radius fretboard, Seymour Duncan pickups and a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo system, this guitar ensures optimal playability and tone.

Construction

Formed of a Mahogany body to give heavy riffs all of the low-end grunt they require, this tonewood offers a deep and rich tone that lends itself well to high-gain, and also gives leads plenty of rounded warmth.

Paired with a Maple neck, this bright-sounding wood will help to deliver some top-end snap and definition, giving notes a fast attack and amazing projection in heavy mixes. Reinforced with Graphite, this neck will remain stable even in differing temperatures and conditions, meaning you won't have to tinker with your setup very often at all.

A compound radius fretboard is an excellent, high-end feature of this instrument. Rounded at the lower end of the neck to make chords easier and more comfortable to play, the fretboard flattens out in the higher register to make shredding a total breeze. This also helps to prevent notes from fretting out when performing string bends, making it a very ergonomic design.

With a neck-through construction, this guitar has a truly elegant feel and look. But the perks aren't purely aesthetic, as with a neck-through design you can expect better sustain and a warmer, more-balanced tone overall.

Electronics and Hardware

This beautiful instrument is powered by a pair of high-output Seymour Duncan humbuckers, capable of handling copious amounts of gain whilst being versatile enough to clean up very well too. The TB-6 in the bridge position delivers all of the upper mid-range bite you'd expect, for optimal clarity when playing technical riffs. The Seymour Duncan Distortion SH-6N humbucking neck pickups have a smooth yet punchy tone, ideal for complex lead work.

A double-locking Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 tremolo will keep this guitar in tune incredibly well, no matter how extreme your divebombs might be! And with a recessed design, you can perform crazy flutters and over-the-top raised squealies, perfect for chaotic-sounding effects.

Here's what Jackson say about the Pro Series KV King V in Gloss Black:

The king of high-performance guitars, Jackson’s been designing instruments that exceed the requirements and expectations of modern metal players for more than three decades now. And with the Pro KV, Jackson takes the regal King V™ to even more majestic heights.

A guitar created for giant, crushing tone with head-banging, flamboyant style, the Pro Series King V KV offers premium features including a mahogany body with bevels and an ultra-fast one-piece maple neck with a scarf joint and pair of graphite rods for reinforcement against the assaults of temperature and humidity. The 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets and alumiloid sharkfin inlays and is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing—more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the speedy neck for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out.

With a commanding sound powered by brawny Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, this brutally powerful instrument delivers powerful punch while retaining clarity with enhanced note definition, a critical component for modern metal. The recessed Floyd Rose® FRT-O2000 double-locking tremolo bridge system will soar and dive without sacrificing your tuning, while providing laser-accurate intonation along the length of the neck.

With one look at this guitar — available in Ferrari Red or Deep Black — the audience knows you’re serious about playing the best— there’s no mistaking the distinctive style of a Jackson. Brooding black hardware and elegant binding on the fingerboard and traditional Jackson 6-in-line matching headstock create a feast for the eyes, leaving absolutely no doubt as to this instrument’s lineage. Plug in a Pro KV and stake your claim on the throne of state-of-the-art guitar playing.
