Fender Custom’s Artisan Series was designed to showcase exquisite tonewoods with distinctive figures and hand-rubbed oil finishes. Artisan series guitars are also packed with a wealth of special appointments and features that contribute to their striking sound and style. The Artisan Dual P-90 Koa Stratocaster is no exception! Boasting the finest master craftsmanship only found in the Fender Custom Shop, the Artisan Stratocaster features a lightweight Kalamazoo Mahogany body and AAAA Figured Koa top with f-hole, delivering enhanced tone and resonance. A stunning 60s oval “C” shape roasted AAA Flame Maple neck is topped with a Rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5-12″ compound radius for modern playability.

At the heart of the Artisan Strat is a set of Custom Shop P-90 pickups, delivering a warm, resonant tone with a dynamic vintage punch. Fat ’50s Tele wiring allows you to roll the volume back on the guitar without losing your top end. Other premium features include a six-saddle hardtail bridge with “Pat. Pend.” saddles, vintage-style tuning machines with brown shell buttons and a deluxe hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.

Key Features

  • Fine Hand Selected Tonewoods – These exquisite, hand-selected materials are not your average cuts of wood! With eye-catching figuring, Artisan Series guitars look every bit as good as they sound!
  • Custom Shop P-90 Pickups – P-90 pickups are surprisingly versatile and are well suited to a range of musical styles. With a bright top end and punchy mid range, these Custom Shop pickups will ensure you cut through in a mix!
  • Hollowbody – Fender’s semi-hollow Thinline design offers players a lively, open and resonant electric guitar tone with increased sustain and warmth with rich musical harmonics.

‘60s C Oval Shape Neck

The neck that can do everything! Not too thin and not too fat, just right no matter what style of playing you want to play that day. The neck is big enough that you can still wrap your thumb over and feel the whole guitar shake as you strum the strings as hard as you can yet still thin enough that you can effortlessly shred up and down the neck.

Compound Radius

The Compound or sometimes called Conical fingerboard radius ensures maximum comfort and playability no matter what style you are playing or where on the neck you are. From around the 12th fret, the fingerboard radius flattens out to create a faster-feeling neck and to make bending and more technical playing feel effortless.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
