Grunge icon Kurt Cobain can be considered a pioneer within this genre, influencing millions through Nirvana, his songs, his style and his sound. The Kurt Cobain Jaguar NOS, without a doubt, captures the personality and mood of Kurt and his individual approach to music. Keeping with a traditional 3-Tone Sunburst, Fender have reproduced a Jaguar that grunge and rock players can adore.

Built with dual humbucking pickups and unique electronics and controls that were found in place on the Jaguar he attained in the summer of 1991, this really is a throw-back and a testament to Kurt's unique tone and sound. This iconic electric guitar is packed with special features including a bound fingerboard, with pearloid dot markers completed with a Stratocaster® headstock shape with 1950s-style "spaghetti" logo for authenticity. A DiMarzio® humbucking DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary neck pickup and a DP100 Super Distortion bridge pickup provide Kurt's unique tone, while a triple knurled "chrome-dome" knob configuration (volume-volume-tone), three-position toggle switch, black chrome Adjusto-Matic™ bridge and Gotoh® sealed tuners complete the composition. Available in both right- and left-handed versions, the Kurt Cobain Jaguar NOS really does smell like teen spirit!

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Jaguar

Originally introduced by Fender in the early 1960s, the Jaguar has become a cult classic among surf, indie, and alternative players. Its shorter 24-inch scale length gives a slinkier string feel and a punchy response, while the offset body offers supreme comfort. Known for its distinctive floating tremolo, unique switching system, and bright, cutting tone, the Jaguar is a favourite for musicians who like character, style, and a touch of rebellion in their sound.

Sunburst

Sunburst refers to a classic guitar finish that fades from a darker edge to a lighter centre, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood beneath. It’s one of the most recognisable and timeless looks in guitar design, adding depth, warmth, and vintage character to any instrument. Available in styles like two-tone, three-tone, and cherry sunburst, each variation brings its own personality and flair. Whether on an acoustic or electric guitar, a sunburst finish captures that perfect blend of tradition and style, making every instrument look as good as it sounds.
