HeadRush 5.0 Software Update

One of the best things about HeadRush gear? It doesn’t just sound amazing out of the box — it keeps getting better. Regular updates mean your tones and performances are always levelling up. And the 5.0 Software Update is a big one. Here’s what’s in store:

  • Built-in Drum Machine: 16 pro kits and 134 styles across 15 genres, crafted by the legendary sound designers from Alesis Drums & BFD. Enjoy foot-switchable fills, transitions and accents for dynamic performances. Plus, customisable Mix, EQ, Timbre and Groove controls for the perfect sound and feel. Even looper features work with it, so you can build ever greater looped performances.
  • TIDAL Integration: Load any of TIDAL’s 110 million songs straight to the Practice Tool. Loop tricky sections, slow down fast passages without changing pitch and even transpose tracks without messing with the tempo. It’s perfect for learning your favourite riffs or nailing that solo.
  • New Amps & FX: Play through 3 new ReValver amps (25 ON-1 Clean, Crunch & Lead), 2 new boutique overdrives (Jimmy OD and Palace OD), plus new and improved pitch FX (Up-Tune, Drop-Tune & Vocal Harmony).

But that’s not all — there are loads of quality-of-life upgrades too:

  • Direct HeadRush Cloud access via Wi-Fi Remote Editor, for easier rig and clone sharing.
  • Auto-Engage Expression Pedal Mode for hands-free bypass.
  • Block Mix parameter for precise wet/dry blend of each independent block.
  • Minor UI/UX and DSP performance improvements throughout.

Key Features

  • Massive Library of Tone – Find your new favourite tones from the expansive library of detailed models that capture the pristine sonics of amplifiers, cabinets, microphones, and effects both old and new.
  • Capture Amps & Pedals – HeadRush Flex Prime includes a free copy of the new HeadRush ReValver Amp Cloner software to create your own Clones and SuperClones!
  • Gapless Preset Shifting – The HeadRush Flex Prime’s multi-core processor enables gapless preset switching with reverb/delay tail spillover.
  • Record & Re-amp – Connect via USB and use the Flex Prime as an 24-bit 96 kHz audio interface, & re-amp with ease.

These high-quality emulations deliver a degree of accuracy, tonal nuance, and dynamic response that push the level of sophistication that multi-FX units can offer. In addition to recreations of timeless and beloved pieces of equipment, the Flex Prime features a number of effects that cannot be found anywhere else, such as rhythmic and synth FX based on exclusive pitch-to-MIDI technology.

Explore New Sounds with the HeadRush Cloud

Thanks to an onboard Wi-Fi connection, the HeadRush Flex Prime allows direct access to the HeadRush Cloud. Whether you’re looking to emulate the tone of your favorite shredder or seeking inspiration for a sound entirely your own—the Flex Prime has you covered.

Full Compatibility with HeadRush Prime and HeadRush Core

Perfect for the player on-the-go, this unit enables up to 14 DSP blocks (FX, amps, cabs, clones, IRs, etc.) per preset in one of 5 different signal path types. All presets, setlists, and clones created on the HeadRush Prime and Core are compatible with the Flex Prime, so whether the Flex Prime is your road buddy or gig bag companion, it is an affordable and tremendously capable addition to any guitar or bass player’s arsenal.

Unlimited Expansion via HeadRush Cloning Technology and 3rd Party IRs

The HeadRush Flex Prime supports HeadRush’s exclusive Clone and SuperClone technology, enabling you to instantly expand your onboard amp and FX library. These are precise captures of the sound, dynamics, and feel of highly sought-after gear, including vintage amps, rare effects pedals, priceless speakers, and high-end studio gear. You can also easily load your own Clones and third-party impulse response files via Dropbox or Mac/PC with the USB transfer mode.

Capture Your Own Amps and Pedals with the included Amp Cloner Software

Utilizing proprietary ACT (Audio Cloning Technology) Gen II, the ReValver Amp Cloner software quickly and accurately clones the sound, tone, and very essence of hardware and software-based guitar amps, cabs, and distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedals. ReValver Amp Cloner is the world’s first capture system that enables combining multiple amp or pedal clones into a single powerful SuperClone that morphs between clones.

Combine multiple clones of the same amp or pedal to create a deeper model or mix and match clones from different gear to create a custom model— the tonal possibilities are endless. All you need is a separate audio interface with a microphone input, and you can start your own clone custom shop with the ReValver Amp Cloner software today!

Best-In-Class Looper with Saving and MIDI Sync Functions

The HeadRush Flex Prime features a highly functional looping feature—perfect for layering textures and melodies during a live show or as a potent songwriting tool, ready to go whenever inspiration strikes. Loops can be up to 5 minutes long with a capacity of 20 minutes of layered audio. When you’re finished and ready to share your sonic masterpiece with the world, you can save your loops as .WAV files and export them to your Mac/PC. You can also import .WAV files to use the looper to play along with your favorite backing tracks and easily sync the looper to external MIDI devices like drum machines.

Built-in USB Audio Interface for Recording and Reamping

Flex Prime’s USB connection opens up a world of recording and reamping directly to a computer. When connected, you can use the HeadRush Flex Prime as a 24-bit 96 kHz audio interface. The reamp function works by sending audio from your DAW through the Flex Prime and then recording it back into your DAW. This allows you to easily add nuance and tonal qualities only attainable with a hardware amplifier into their recordings. Any veteran studio professional will agree that this method saves valuable time and the HeadRush Flex Prime makes it easier than ever.

The HeadRush Flex Prime can integrate seamlessly into your current rig with a series of inputs to suit any and all of your performance needs.
