Building on the Hiwatt Custom 20, this amp offers the artist even more possibilities for great tone. Use the 40-watt ‘Stage’ mode when you need clean headroom and volume. Drive the amp harder in the 20-watt ‘Studio’ mode when you want to hear the pure, natural tube overdrive that made Hiwatt famous. Pull the Gain knob to boost the signal for even more drive! We have also included a quality built-in spring reverb and new for 2022 – a hand-wired custom shop footswitch to control both reverb and a transparent and clean boost! In addition, we have tweaked and optimized the reverb mix and the amp is sounding fantastic! Please see the video for a sampling of what this amp can do!

Independent Hi and Low inputs. Versatile and intuitive, perfect for bringing life out of dark pickups or taming shrill high end in bright pickups.

Push/Pull Gain potentiometer providing extra preamp gain at a touch.

Volume for any gig — Switchable wattage allows switching from 40W down to 20W for smaller venues and practice spaces. Furthermore, this gives the option of more clean headroom in the 40W ’Studio’ mode, or natural tube breakup in the 20W ’Stage’ mode.

A fantastic pedal platform, with natural tube saturation and true spring reverb always on tap when you have to leave your board behind.
