The idea came from a friend who once owned an original JTM45 from the 60s. Even today he regrets having sold this treasure. Some time ago, I gave him my prototype of a pedal that emulates the JTM45. I had already forgotten where it was until he called me one evening and told me enthusiastically how good the sound of my forgotten pedal was and how authentically the pedal reproduced the sound of his old JTM45. He wanted to buy it immediately. He also advised me to bring this model onto the market because he’s convinced that all guitarists would love this sound. At first I hesitated, but now it’s here! The JCA45! It impresses with an extremely open and dynamic sound and gives you a playing feel like an original JTM45. Not high gain, but a breathtaking overdrive, just like the old classic. Of course, it is difficult to describe this sound in detail. If you look for Pete Townsend’s tone on “Live at Leeds”, this is it. The pedal’s gain is higher and goes up to Angus-Young-territory.
