After more than a year of development, the “Reverend” has finally been completed. This pedal enables the ultra-fat tone of Billy Gibbons. Billy played a brown Fender Deluxe amp back then. This amp is legendary and the blueprint for the Reverend pedal. It doesn’t matter whether you use a Les Paul, a Tele or a Strat. Your tone remains juicy and fat without getting muddy! The Juice control, already at minimum, offers that crunchy “brown sugar sound”. The gain reserves are high and even at maximum, the excellent dynamics and characteristic tone are retained. Using the guitar’s volume, the player can choose between countless levels of distortion. And, as with all JCA pedals, turning down the volume brightens the tone nicely, and the highs become beautifully crisp and glassy.

Get the trademark sound of the Texan blues-rock legend! Get the “Reverend”!

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.
