The Silver Jubilee is back! Only this is the Black Elephant Grain tolex version. Marshall have released a reissue of this classic amplifier called the 2555x. Originally launched in 1987 to celebrate 25 years in the amp business the Jubilee is a darker and hotter version of the world renown JCM800 2203 and 2204 and has been used on stages around the world. 27 years after it was taken off the shelves it is back to take the world by storm.

Classic Circuit

Fans of the original will be happy to know that this reissue is as close to the original circuit as you can get without going and trying to find one of the originals. This 100w/50w switchable all valve head does have a few functional improvements over the original but in terms of sound you can't improve on perfection. Rated at 100w this three mode two channel amplifier uses four EL34 power amp tubes and three ECC83 preamp tubes to provide incredible levels of high gain loveliness.

Its signature and unique three 'mode' preamp system the clean mode which as the name suggests is a clean mode with little to no drive that will cut through a mix really well. The Rhythm Clip mode adds slightly more gain to the signal and fattens up the sound to make sure you are heard and finally you have a footswitchable lead mode which is perfect for those classic British rock solos.

From classic valve amplifiers to modern digital models, Marshall continues to embody the spirit of rock’n’roll—loud, bold, and timeless.

The Important stuff

Guitar Amps and Cabs — Guitar amps and cabs are at the heart of your tone, shaping everything from crisp clean sounds to heavy distortion. Combo amps combine the speaker and amplifier in one portable unit, ideal for rehearsals and small gigs, while separate amp heads and cabinets offer more power and flexibility for stage use. Valve amps deliver classic warmth and dynamic response, while solid-state and modelling amps provide reliable performance and a wide range of tones. Guitar cabinets, from compact 1x12s to full 4×12 stacks, influence projection and character, so matching the right amp and cab setup is key to getting your perfect sound..
