The MG series first made in appearance in the mid-00s, offering built-in digital effects, intuitive design and solid-state power in one of the most affordable packages Marshall had ever offered. This year, they've unveiled a revamp that tips its hat back to Marshall's roots: say hello to the Black and Gold series!

Offering the crucial aspects that put the MG amps on the map, but with a tweaked modern sound and alluring brushed gold finish, this range happens to be as affordable as it is versatile!

The MG30GFX builds on the tried and tested MG formula, delivering a full, punchy sound thanks to 30 watts and a larger 10" speaker at your disposal. Again, you've got two channels (clean and crunch) with two overdrive voicings to choose from, giving you plenty of tonal legroom.

As well as this, you have a shared EQ, built-in digital effects, a dedicated reverb control (studio and spring reverb sounds) and that handy 'store' feature, which allows you to stash your favourite tones. If you're looking for an all-encompassing practice amp with features that far-outweigh its price point, the MG30GFX ticks all the boxes!

Founded by Jim Marshall in London in 1962, the company quickly became synonymous with the roaring tones of the 1960s and 70s, used by icons like Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend, and Slash. Known for their iconic “stack” design and warm overdrive, Marshall amps deliver the punchy, dynamic sound that has powered countless stages and recordings. From classic valve amplifiers to modern digital models, Marshall continues to embody the spirit of rock’n’roll—loud, bold, and timeless.

The Important stuff

30W. Combo — A combo amplifier combines the amp head and speaker cabinet into one convenient, self-contained unit, making it a favourite for players who want great tone without extra setup. Compact and portable, combos come in all sizes and power levels, from small practice amps to stage-ready tube beasts. They deliver everything from sparkling cleans to rich overdrive, often with built-in effects and tone-shaping controls. Perfect for rehearsals, recording, or gigs, a good combo amp gives you the full sound and feel of a complete rig in one easy-to-carry package.. Gold. Guitar Amps and Cabs — Guitar amps and cabs are at the heart of your tone, shaping everything from crisp clean sounds to heavy distortion. Combo amps combine the speaker and amplifier in one portable unit, ideal for rehearsals and small gigs, while separate amp heads and cabinets offer more power and flexibility for stage use. Valve amps deliver classic warmth and dynamic response, while solid-state and modelling amps provide reliable performance and a wide range of tones. Guitar cabinets, from compact 1x12s to full 4×12 stacks, influence projection and character, so matching the right amp and cab setup is key to getting your perfect sound..
