PRS’ reputation has always been impeccable. Since 1985, they have produced high-quality instruments that have been played by countless artists of all different styles. Combining beauty with functionality, their guitars are renowned for their looks, tones, and playability. Every time you pick up a PRS, you will feel inspired.

The CE24 model looks similar to the Custom 24, with the iconic PRS double-cutaway body, dual humbuckers, 24 frets and a mahogany body topped with a beautiful flamed-maple cap. However, a bolt-on construction offers a different sound that makes this PRS unique in their line-up.

We’ve managed to get our hands on these Limited Edition models, that come in a range of amazing finishes that would be admired anywhere.

Bolt-On Construction:

First introduced in 1988, the CE models are known for featuring bolt-on necks. Most PRS models have a set-neck construction, providing a warm and darker tone, however the bolt-on construction of the CE24 delivers a more snappy response that gives a sharper attack and “spank” to notes.

The maple neck wood also adds more brightness and presence to the guitar’s sound, so with this guitar you can be sure to cut through in a mix – live or in the studio. The unpainted headstock provides a more “classic” aesthetic, with the high-quality Ebony fretboard giving a smooth feel under the fingers and an elegant look to the instrument.

Made In Maryland:

Like all USA PRS guitars, this has been made in their Maryland factory. During the building process, they mix the wisdom and skills of their traditional luthiers with the consistency of machines, to make a guitar to the highest quality every time while still keeping that personal hand-made touch.

With a mahogany body topped with a beautiful flamed-maple top, this guitar has a balanced sound with a focused midrange that cuts through the mix.

The Neck on this guitar has been cut to the “Pattern Thin” profile. Designed to be thin enough for shredders to enjoy while still being rounded enough for rhythm players to get around, this neck profile is one of the most popular for more modern players and old-school purists alike.

Professional Electronics:

In recent years, PRS have started creating a wider range of pickups all based on vintage style PAFs but with modern twists to make them more suitable for the modern guitarist. These are the 85/15 pickups, that focus on providing the best sound for the modern guitarist. When compared to other pickups like the 58/08s and 59/09s, these pickups have impeccable clarity with extended high and low end to make sure you can get the tone you want every time you plug it in.

Second To None Hardware:

Not many companies can say that they have spent so long getting their hardware just perfect. PRS are one of the few that can. The stable PRS Pate
