Castedosa TS humbuckers

The hand-wound Castedosa TS humbuckers take inspiration from the legendary PAF design, delivering a low-wind, vintage-style voice that’s airy, articulate and full of character. Expect glorious note separation and clarity, with just the right amount of warmth. Wound in-house by Carlos’ wife Stephanie Lopez using premium components, these pickups are the perfect match for the Marianna’s master-built pedigree.

About Castedosa Guitars

Carlos Lopez spent over 16 years at Fender, climbing from the factory floor to the hallowed halls of the Custom Shop — eventually earning the title of Master Builder in 2019. His work has graced the hands of icons like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Robin Trower. In 2022, Carlos launched Castedosa Guitars, a family-run venture with his wife Stephanie, bringing together world-class craftsmanship and boutique artistry under one roof.

Key Features

  • Mahogany body with Alder top: This combo gives you the best of both worlds — Mahogany’s rich, warm low-end paired with Alder’s balanced brightness. The carved top is super smooth and comfy too!
  • Quartersawn Roasted Maple neck: Roasting the Maple not only looks stunning with its caramel hue, but also enhances stability and resistance to warping for consistently great playability.
  • “V” neck profile: A nod to vintage classics, this shape feels substantial without being chunky. It’s comfortable for chord work and provides brilliant support for lead runs.
  • Medium jumbo frets: The sweet spot for most players — big enough for effortless bends and vibrato, but not so large that they feel cumbersome!
  • Castedosa TS humbuckers: Expect airy highs, tight lows and a dynamic response that reacts beautifully to your picking nuances. They’re articulate enough for clean tones and roar when you crank the gain.
  • Schroeder bridge: A high-quality piece of hardware designed for rock-solid tuning stability and exceptional sustain.
  • Kluson tuners: Hold pitch like a champ while adding that timeless aesthetic to the headstock.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
